April Workshop Update

Posted on March 15, 2020 by foxv3475

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 situation, our April 4th workshop with Meg Tietz has been cancelled.  The health and safety of our presenter and members is a top priority, so we will not be having a final workshop for this school year in light of that concern.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.  We will be sending out more information soon to those who paid for the whole year concerning reimbursement for the last workshop.

We hope that the rest of your school year is safe and healthy and we hope to see you for the 2020-2021 school year!

It’s Chapter Share Time Orff friends! And Lunch is On Us!

Posted on April 18, 2014 by foxv3475

We are coming up to our last workshop for the year on May 3rd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. We are meeting in a different location than usual. We will be at North Elementary School, 1680 Brickville Rd., Sycamore, Il. We know this farther out than usual (It is 20 minutes from Prairie View) so lunch is on us!

This is our Chapter Share when we share lessons and other teaching ideas that we think might help others. Some of what is already planned for the chapter share are a lesson with children’s literature, how one district is handing assessment, and a guide to common core that you are probably already doing in your lessons. We could use a few more chapter members to share and, as we announced earlier this year, all people who share get a $5 Starbucks gift card! Come to the workshop for some ideas to finish off our year and some social time too!

See you there!

Cancelled Workshop

Posted on January 31, 2014 by foxv3475

Dear Educators,

The weather forecast for tomorrow’s workshop is more than dreadful at this point and instead of waiting to see what happens, we are going to cancel and reschedule for a new date. There are some very exciting and helpful presentations scheduled and we do not wish for anyone who volunteered to feel pressured to drive in poor traveling conditions to present. And we are so excited about the movement, children’s literature, volumes, assessment, and common core topics that were planned for tomorrow that we don’t want to just cancel. Please bear with us and check our Facebook page or our website for often information about a rescheduled workshop.
