Building the Foundation through Exploration and Play
Building a strong musical foundation in the early years is essential to music making in later years. How do we make the most of our time with our early childhood students and how does that translate into learning in the primary grades? How can we take our knowledge and apply it to our youngest students? This workshop will explore how we as teachers can develop a child’s musical ability beginning at birth and how we can reach out to the community to involve parents in music making. We will focus on birth through first grade and will be exploring the many resources available and how to make them work for you!
