Fox Valley Orff is proud to announce our next workshop October 5, 2019 with Josh Southard.
Orff Schulwerk: Children’s Literature in the Music Classroom
J.K. Rowling said “I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a book.” Come experience the magic that can happen in the music room using children’s literature! This workshop will feature several children’s books that can be used for grades K-6 in a lesson or concert setting. It will inspire you to use the ideas and processes learned with your own favorite children’s books!
“Tell me, I forget, show me, I remember, involve me, I understand.“
Fox Valley Orff-Schulwerk Chapter is a group of dedicated music specialists aimed at promoting the Orff-Schulwerk philosophy of creative, active music education through offering quality professional development workshops, networking opportunities with area music educators, and cultivating relationships with current university music education students.
